Amit Arya, a medical Doctor by profession but an Indian Classical Vocalist by choice, has been learning vocal music since the age of eight.
He initiated his training with Smt. Anita Khare of Vancouver B.C. and progressed to learning from Smt. Asha Lohia under the Pandit Jasraj School of Music in Vancouver. Since 1999, he has had the privilege and blessing of taking advanced training from the living legend, Sangeet Martand Padmavibushan Pandit Jasraj-ji, as well as his senior disciples: Pandit Hemang Mehta, Pandita Tripti Mukherjee and Pandit Suman Ghosh.

Mausam is a born rasika of music and plays both harmonium and tabla with great feeling. He has accompanied various local artists as well as visiting musicians on both these instruments. A faculty member in Computer Science at the University of Washington, Mausam actively supports musical non-profits like Ragamala, Pratidhwani (in Seattle) and SPIC MACAY in New Delhi. He also studied vocal music from the late Dr. Sharad Gadre.
