What is PARAMPARA

PARAMPARA... a word that exemplifies succession, tradition, and knowledge. Guru Shishya Parampara is an ancient Indian tradition whereby the guru (teacher) passes on his/her knowledge to the shishya (disciple) through years of practice, hardwork, dedication and commitment. "Parampara" is Pratidhwani's attempt at celebrating the musical guru-shishya Parampara in Seattle. Three masters and their disciples take center stage to showcase art and its transference.
